55 Idema Road Conversion

55 Idema Road is an industrial warehouse-to-office conversion project, located in the Woodbine & Steeles Corporate Centre area in Markham, Ontario.  This 37,000 sf interior and exterior renovation featured an extensive exterior shell building upgrade to Class A flex office standard, with new roofing, new exterior windows and entrances, new curtain wall and skylights to maximize natural daylight.  SSA developed space layouts for single-tenant and multi-tenant occupancies, to show potential tenants the opportunities for flexible new modern offices.  Completed in 2013, and now owned by Slate Properties, the converted space was successfully leased to Lenovo Canada to house their consolidated Canadian office headquarters.
