Veridian Office Headquarters

Location – 55 Taunton Road, Ajax Ontario
Status – Completed 2010 

Veridian Connections is a power utility located in Ajax, Ontario. The project was to consolidate Veridian’s operations on the Taunton site, which included a storage/maintenance yard, vehicle maintenance garage and adjacent one-storey administration office building. Additional offices were located at off-site locations. SSA accommodated all office functions into the single location with the design and construction of a two-storey office addition to double the office capacity and allow for future growth. Existing office space and operations were stream-lined. 

A strategic emphasis was placed on the indoor environmental quality with careful attention to daylight and views, circulation, use of premium quality building materials and high-performance glazing and plumbing / HVAC systems. 

To further Veridian’s commitment to leadership in sustainable design, including existing geothermal energy, the project was designed and constructed to achieve LEED Certification.
